| I searched the
Livermore Valley for three years to find this location. I returned home
many times and saw power lines that I was trying to avoid in my
pictures. The trick I finally discovered was to climb up a hill and
stand underneath the power lines. 2009 was an unusual year. Heavy rains
came early in October to Northern California.. The hillsides were
already turning green before the colors of harvest arrived.
It made for a fresh combination of colors in the Livermore Valley wine
country. I unveiled the shot at Holiday in the vineyards in 2009
at Murietta's Wells. Ruby Hills and Wente Vineyards have invited me
to showcase my Harvest collection at upcoming shows in 2010. |
