| Emerald Bay is Lake
Tahoe's crowing achievement. The bay is surrounded by pristine forests.
The island in the center of the bay is setting to a Tea House. The
historic main
house is bordered by gentle sand at the base of Eagle Falls. I
drove all day to arrive before sunset on the night of the full moon.
The 6 hour drive was worth the extra effort when I saw the full moon
rising up behind Emerald Bay. The sky turned a brilliant shade of clear
pink to complement the vibrant greens of the pine forest and rocks of
marble. Emerald Bay is brilliant. |
