| Eagle falls pours
into Emerald Bay at Lake Tahoe in California. The sight is amazing to
behold. I parked my car at the Desolation Valley trail head to be within easy walking distance before sunrise. The sky was beginning to brighten when I awoke in the back seat of my car. I got going with a brilliant start of day. I still needed to position myself along the rock cliffs at the edge of the falls. I took of with a run as I forged a new trail.. I jumped onto a rock ledge wide enough to fit my tripod. The drop was hundreds of feet to the river below. The spray from the falls was fierce that year with the record snow melt. The first golden rays of day turned the water into a rich shades of flowing gold. The trees anchored in the rocks held fast as they stood their ground. Eagle Falls is one of Lake Tahoe's jewels on a must experience list in California. |
