Death Valley is one of the driest places on earth. Zabriskie Point is a popular landmark for visitors.

I planned this trip during a full moon. It was also a wet "El Nino" year. It was a perfect combination. The hillsides were washed clean and saturated with vibrant colors in the patterns of rock.

This is clear sunrise with the full moon setting behind the distant mountain range.
