This field of California poppies was a blazing gold hillside of color blooming in spring on Mount Diablo State Park in Walnut Creek California. You need a tripod, a close up lens, and a willingness to get down in your knees to go shoot wildflowers. The colors are so vivid in spring. The hint of purple are the lupine growing amongst the poppies. The poppies are California's state flower. |
