I heard it was snowing in Yosemite on the 11 o'clock evening news. I drove all night to reach Yosemite Valley in time for sunrise. It was still snowing when I arrived. The valley floor was covered in a fresh white blanket of snow. The trees looked like sculptures. I could see the sun starting to peak through the snow storm at sunrise. The next few hours were magic for taking pictures of Yosemite. I revisited all my favorite spots before I could even think about sleeping. This is the winter storm I will remember. |
